It was both fun and challenging in shooting Kienie and Alvin's wedding day. We have numerous photographer covering the whole day event, from picking up the bride, tea ceremony, church ceremony to the night banquet. So as the organizing goes, some of us would be covering the morning to lunch session; some of us would be covering the church; and all of us will be at the dinner banquet with about 30 tables full of guests.

That's just fine for me. Multiple photographers mean that I can snapshots all the way - which I really love, while I didn't have to worry about missing official shots (which my fellow photogs would be taking care of all that :P)

Eva and Jack were a sweet couple! Call this an engagement shoot - I guess they haven't yet figured out when will be their Big Date yet... but no matter. Moliu has picked this location, really out of nowhere. No joke; I don't think I will be able to find this place again on my own!

The shoot took no more than 3 hours. It was so casual - you can tell none of them really took it seriously by they way they dress, ha! Still we yield some nice shots.

Shots for two of my good old friends, Candy and Douglas. Ok, strictly speaking, this was a pre-wedding shoot, but it was done right before their wedding day banquet, like in less than an hour time.

To me, places and locations are not the most important. Just go outside at the parking lot was fine with me - go with the flow.

It was raining; it was cold and a bit windy. The rain actually stopped when the ceremony begins, so I guess it wasn't so bad. It was a beautiful simple wedding ceremony.

Yeah, I know I know. Everything is in 1 and 0. All my works are in digital format. Even for clients, all are files on disc nowadays. They can print the photos in any size they want; any format they like. Digital is easy to access, easy to archive on disc or on hard drives. BUT digital files are actually the most vulnerable link to your precious memory. Discs and hard drives just don't last as long as many people think of them; they simply may fail and break down in matter of months or years, and your photos will be lost forever.

I always suggest my clients to make backup copies of their wedding photos. And better even, choose some of the best pictures, and have it on prints.

And there's this magic with prints - even small ones. Anything bigger than a 5R size beats anything on a laptop screen or iPad. It just look and feel good.

Recently I am rediscovering printing since my old film days. It begins when I was making these photo cards for Zoe and Otto's wedding. I have made these in the traditional print shop ways - meaning they are in large quantities and high cost-per-piece.

Kelly and Alex is a fun couple to be with! This shoot is more like a collaboration with Kelly, who was always full of fantastic ideas. I came to an idea of casting a real pigeon (as in alive, breathing, flying white pigeon) referencing one of my favorite series of photograph by Drew Gardner - whose photography has inspired me so much.

I remembered as Kelly sent me pics of props she got for the shoot - the white bird cage, the bird decor, a pair of angel wings (i.e., Victoria Secret angel wings!? - NOT! hahaha), and among other "stuffs"...
